UMSE – Bescheid

Paul McCartney Carpool Karaoke

If you need a little break from life, go on this little car ride with James Corden and Paul McCartney. It is funny, emotional, informative and overall so absolutely entertaining. You will not be able to bear down a smile, I swear.

In the end you can see a woman crying while listening to „Hey Jude“ and yes, that would have definitely been me. Goosebumps. And yes, the take-away message is: sometimes the best things happen to you when you’re day drinking in a pub!

Lorde – Green Light

I think I must have heard this song a hundred times already. But today, while watching the finale of the series „New Girl“ it hit me for the first time. This song brings out so many emotions. It’s good for a kitchen dance, on a car ride or on a bike, but definitely with a loud singing along. This song makes me really happy and really sad at the same time.

‚Here it is! All of it! This is everything that I’ve been feeling!

.. was Lorde’s comment on the song. And I am so grateful she shared them with us.

Manu Chao – Bella Ciao

It’s a beautiful Saturday afternoon and I’m studying in the library with some friends. Then it happens: one of the guys gets tagged in a Facebook Meme including „Bella Ciao, Bella Ciao, Ciao Ciao Ciao“ and he does not know the song. This, of  course, leads to a big, fat „what? you don’t know it?“ from my side and me singing the song to him. This again is overheard by another friend sitting with us, an Italian, which leads to an even bigger „WHAT?“ and a bit of Italian anti-fascist resistance history.

Well and in the end it also lead to this post with „Bella Ciao“, once sung by the awesome Manu Chao and one instrumental version of the Zaratustra Trio.
